The service

Purlbed is a web app for drawing bed charts, needle notation, punch cards and technical-book pages for machine knitting. Most of it runs in your browser and is free. Features may change as the app develops.

Your work

Your swatches, charts and photos stay in your browser on your device. You own everything you make. Because we do not store your work, you are responsible for keeping backups (Export all on the swatch page).

Purlbed Pro

Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks printing and export files. A licence key is for your personal use (including your own teaching and commissioned work) on up to 3 devices. Please do not share or resell keys.

Payments are processed by Creem, which acts as merchant of record: it sells Pro to you on our behalf and handles tax and receipts. Creem's own terms apply to the payment.

Previews and suggestions

Relief previews, demo swatches, planner options and punch-card sizes are approximate and are marked as such. Always knit a sample before relying on them; we are not responsible for yarn, time or machine wear spent on a result that differs.

Optional AI suggestions

If you choose to use AI suggestions in the planner, you use your own Anthropic API key and Anthropic's terms apply to that request.

Liability

Purlbed is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Pro. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Significant changes for Pro buyers will be announced on the site.
